In the field of engineering solutions, we wanted to establish a company in the field of electrical engineering that would operate locally and connect globally. We recognized the emerging information technology as a long-term strategy for our young company, which also meant new knowledge and progress for the country and region in which we have been successfully creating and growing.«
COMPANY HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT
Egal was founded in 1990 by Egon Süssinger, a university-educated engineer, as a trading, engineering, consulting and marketing company. Initially, we focused on the engineering of security systems, however, in 1996, we began collaborating with the US global company Panduit, which provided us with access to the latest technologies in the field of structured cabling and data centers.
Throughout the years, we have built strong partnerships in Slovenia and the Southeast European region, and in 2016, we became the exclusive representative of Panduit for Southeast Europe, and soon after that, also for Hungary. In 2020, we further expanded our exclusive representation to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkey, Cyprus, and the countries of the former Soviet Union (CIS region). As a result, we have become a reliable partner to global companies and leading distributors in the region where we operate.
THE PRESENT
The company is now managed by Una Ana Süssinger, who oversees finance, marketing, and other administrative matters and ensures the smooth running of the company, and Peter Süssinger, a CISCO CCNA-certified structured cabling expert who is responsible for business development and the company’s sales strategy.
In recent years, we have strengthened our presence in data center, fiber optic network (FTTx), and telecommunications projects in demanding business environments and expanded our range of passive network and industrial electrical infrastructure products. Today, we are proud to represent and distribute the following global companies:
- Panduit – network and industrial electrical infrastructure
- AEM – computer network testing and certification
- UCL Swift – fiber optic splicing solutions
- Klein Tools – hand tools and measurement devices
We are an authorized center for training and certifying installers of Panduit solutions and a certified AEM calibration center.
We have established a European customer briefing center on Tržaška Street in Ljubljana, where customers can test the latest equipment, interact with leading experts, and develop their long-term technology strategies. This is the only place in the region that allows hands-on work with the equipment used by the most technologically advanced data centers.
