EGAL opens Customer Briefing Centre on network and industrial electrical infrastructure
EGAL, d.o.o., Ljubljana has launched a new European educational and demonstration centre, the EGAL Customer Briefing Centre, making Ljubljana a central source of knowledge on the latest technologies for network infrastructure and industrial electrical wiring.
The IT cabling system is the lifeblood of digital business and society. On 21 arch 2024, EGAL opened the EGAL Customer Briefing Centre for Central, South-Eastern and Eastern Europe and Central Asia in our new premises. This is an investment, co-funded by Panduit EMEA and EGAL as the investment holder for a total of half a million euros, to improve the transfer of Panduit’s technologies and know-how to partners and customers, as well as to showcase EGAL’s portfolio of products and services, which complete complementary solutions such as network certifiers from AEM, fibre optic technology from UCL Swift, and tools and instruments from Klein Tools.
Panduit is a world leader in providing cabling and electrical technologies for data centres and industrial systems. EGAL, which generates approximately 80% of its revenue from foreign markets, has been a Panduit Authorised Installer Training and Certification Centre since 2016.
“The core mission of the new investment is to transfer knowledge to Panduit’s growing partner channel in the EMEA region, as well as to designers and owners of IT networks and data centres. We want it to become a source of knowledge for system integrators, telecom companies as well as Slovenian educational institutions in the field of electrical engineering and IT science,” said Peter Süssinger, Business Director at EGAL.
As Süssinger added, EGAL has been expanding its presence in foreign markets for more than 30 years. With our own customer briefing centre, we have gained additional capabilities to present and educate our partner ecosystem on the latest technologies that Panduit is developing together with world-leading providers of IT and telecommunications networking technologies, such as Cisco Systems, Rockwell Automation and General Cable.
The opening of the new office space and educational and demonstration centre was held first as a conference of representatives of the companies we work with, bringing together more than 50 long-term business partners and friends, other guests and members of the media.
The opening of the new office space and educational and demonstration centre was held first as a conference of representatives of the companies we work with, bringing together more than 50 long-term business partners and friends, other guests and members of the media.
The conference was opened by anthropologist Prof. Dr. Lucija Mulej with a presentation of her concept and methodology of connecting intelligences and intelligences Budnjani 4Q. Dr. Mulej, with a unique sociological-anthropological approach, demonstrated completely new aspects and approaches of the 4Q methodology, which creates new possibilities for unlocking human potentials, creativity and ability to function both in private and business life.
Martin Kandziora, Head of Marketing at Panduit EMEA, highlighted Panduit’s commitment and its ecosystem, which benefits everyone today, and referred to the company’s future goals. As he mentioned, Panduit’s two main priorities are renewable energy and data centres. “Today, the integration of different ecosystems such as manufacturing, business facilities, data centres and the energy sector is becoming increasingly important. At Panduit, we believe this is the only way to achieve greater efficiency, profitability and sustainability,” said Kandziora.
Jose Granja, Panduit EMEA Regional Director, explained what the ecosystem actually means for Panduit: “It is a combination of agents, distributors, system integrators, installers and other stakeholders who can only work together to deliver results.” He pointed out that Panduit has been in business for 70 years, that it invests more than 12 per cent of its total revenue in research and development, and that more than half of its turnover is accounted for by products that Panduit has introduced to the market in the last five years.
The third Panduit speaker was Cosmin Berariu, Business Manager EMEA. “Our participation in events like this, as well as the opening of EGAL’s customer centre, shows our commitment to this market and our determination to succeed together. We are here to provide our partners with all the support they need and I look forward to future successes,” said Berariu.
Zacharias Baveas, Technical Systems Engineering Manager, mentioned that we can expect to see growth in digital data and data centres in the near future, but this does not necessarily mean an increase in buildings and facilities. Among other things, Baveas invited the audience to visit the EGAL Education and Demonstration Centre, where Panduit’s innovations are on display, such as new cabinets and enclosures, universal cold air containment, bus bars, fibre optic cables, modules and connectors, UPS and PDU units for server cabinets, and a number of other equipment.
Werner Heeren, Regional Director EMEAIA at AEM, spoke at the opening event about smart solutions for smart buildings. The Singapore-based AEM specialises in cable and component testing across a wide range of industries. Their products include highly accurate cable testers and certifiers, as well as advanced data analysis and test management software.
Eckhard Schirm, Managing Director and Head of Sales for Klein Tools in Europe, announced at the event the arrival of the American company in Europe, which specialises in the production of tools, equipment and accessories for electricians and professionals in related industries. The company has a tradition of almost 170 years and has newly opened a distribution warehouse in Europe.
South Korean company UCL Swift is certainly an integral part of the network infrastructure and smart buildings story, and is considered a leading manufacturer of fibre optic splicing devices, which can be seen and tested at the new EGAL centre.
The EGAL Customer Briefing Centre is the only place in the region that offers the opportunity to work with equipment as it is used in the most technologically advanced data centres. As access to such equipment in the real world is virtually impossible, as is the ability to test it, the company will also make it available to school teachers, high school students and university students, giving them the opportunity to get in touch with the latest technologies while they are still studying.
